Fever prototype
Privacy notice
Last updated: 28 September 2026
Fever is a prototype fantasy game made by Amoeba Sports UK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales and part of Amoeba Studio, Inc. We are responsible for your data in Fever.
This notice covers Fever only. Our company privacy policy covers our other games and our website. Where the two differ for Fever, this notice applies.
To confirmThat a product notice can narrow the company policy (its retention and marketing purposes). The company policy may need a line saying some games have their own notice.
The short version
- We collect what we need to run your leagues, and nothing for advertising.
- We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- We delete your data 30 days after your last league completes.
- Fever is for people aged 18 and over.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, username and password (stored as a secure hash, so we never see it), your confirmation that you are 18 or over, and when you agreed to these terms. If you sign up from an invite link, we also ask for your first name.
- Your leagues: the leagues you create or join, your team name, a team picture if you upload one, your draft picks, your queue and autodraft settings, any guesses you make in The Decider, and your scores and standings.
- The phone app: if you allow notifications, a notification token for your device, your notification setting, and the tokens that keep lock screen widgets and Live Activities up to date.
- Feedback: what you write, the page you sent it from, and your email address.
- How you use Fever: the pages you visit and the actions you take, linked to your account. On the website this is collected only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Technical data: error reports when something breaks, which in some sessions include a recording of the screen with all text and images hidden, and your IP address and browser or device details in server logs.
We do not ask for your date of birth, address, phone number or payment details. The sports statistics in Fever come from sports data providers; we send them nothing about you.
To confirmIn the phone app, analytics are currently switched on without asking: installing the app is treated as consent. Decide whether the app should ask, like the website does, or turn analytics off in the app. This notice will need to match.
Why we use it
- To run the game (because you asked us to, by signing up): your account, your leagues, drafts, scoring and the notifications you turn on.
- To keep Fever working and secure (our legitimate interest): fixing errors, preventing abuse and protecting accounts.
- To learn how the prototype is used (with your consent): analytics, which you can refuse on the website.
- To answer you when you send feedback.
We do not use Fever data to build audience profiles, for advertising, or for betting or gambling, and we do not sell it.
Who sees it
Other members of your leagues see your team name, team picture, picks and scores. Anyone with your league's invite link can see its name, stat and competition, and the commissioner's name, before they join.
These companies process data for us to run Fever:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage (United States, East).
- Vercel: hosting (United States).
- Sentry: error reports.
- PostHog: analytics, only with consent (United States).
- Resend: password reset and account emails (United States).
- Google Firebase: phone app notifications.
- Apple: iPhone notifications, lock screen widgets and Live Activities.
To confirmSentry's storage region, and whether its screen recordings need consent like analytics do (they currently run without asking).
How long we keep it
We delete your data 30 days after your last league completes. A league completes when the last game of its competition has been played, and if your league carries on into another season, it completes when that season ends. If you never join a league, we delete your account 30 days after you sign up.
Deleting removes your account, the leagues whose competitions are over (with their drafts, scores and team pictures), your notification tokens and any feedback you sent. We run the deletion ourselves at least once a week, so your data is gone no more than a week after the 30 days are up.
To confirmHow often the deletion is run (scripts/admin/retention.ts). This says weekly; change it to whatever the team commits to, and keep to it.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner by emailing privacy@amoebasports.com.
To confirmHow long each service provider keeps its own records (Sentry error reports, PostHog analytics, Vercel server logs, Resend email logs), set to match 30 days where the provider allows it.
Cookies
Fever uses cookies to keep you signed in; it cannot work without them. On the website it uses analytics cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner. To change your choice, clear Fever's cookies and site data in your browser and the banner will ask again.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to stop or limit using it, object to how we use it, or ask for it in a format you can take elsewhere. You can withdraw consent to analytics at any time. Email privacy@amoebasports.com; we reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Age
Fever is for people aged 18 and over. Everyone confirms their age when they sign up. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we delete it.
To confirmAccounts created before 28 September 2026 did not confirm their age or accept these terms. Decide whether to ask them at their next sign-in.
Where it is stored
Fever's data is stored and processed in the United States. When data moves from the UK or the EEA to the US, we use the safeguards described in our company privacy policy.
To confirmThe transfer mechanism for Fever (for example, the UK-US data bridge or standard contractual clauses).
Changes
If we change this notice, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will tell you in Fever before it applies. See also the terms of use.
